We can provide specialist advice on the 5 Star Scores on the Doors Scheme
5 Star Scores on the Doors Schemes

The 5 star Scores on the Doors Scheme is run by more than 120 councils in the UK. There are plans to unify this scheme with the Food Standards Agency’s UK Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. Not all councils run this particular scheme and some run none at all. Each business is given a food safety rating between 0 and 5 stars when it is inspected by a food safety officer from the local council.

more » This food safety score is published on a website and businesses are asked to display a certificate or sticker showing the food safety star rating at the entrance to the building. It is not yet compulsory to display your score.

We have access to UK-wide scores on the doors data allowing us to produce a variety of reports for you - at the touch of a button. For example, we can forecast the dates of EHO inspections, inform you when inspections occur, compare sites against one another and benchmark your sites with your competitors.

Arranging a re-scoring visit

If you feel that the food safety star rating you received was fair but you’d like a better one, you can ask your local council for a revisit. Councils can refuse this request which means that your star rating will remain unchanged until your next inspection which may be 18 months later.
