Who provides this service?
One of our training partners, Hygiene Sue, provides government-funded Modern and Advanced Apprenticeships in Hospitality and Customer Service.
Apprenticeships are planned programmes of training, learning and assessment aimed at young people. This Government–led initiative is primarily aimed at 16 – 25 year olds, although if you are over 25 you might still be eligible for funding. There’s also funding available to help employers to deliver apprenticeships.
NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) offer you the chance to use interesting, relevant, and practical ways to engage learning whilst studying for a nationally recognised qualification.
NVQ qualifications are delivered entirely in the workplace, at a time that is convenient to you. Taught by friendly and professional trainers who will utilise the course hours and visits to support and encourage active participation.
All NVQ’s follow the same methods of training and assessment. The trainer will engage the learner in practical assignments, routine tasks, professional discussions, or written tests. Enabling the trainer to check and assess the learner’s knowledge and abilities against the chosen NVQ syllabus. After any training or assessment, feedback will always take place so that strengths and weaknesses can be identified. Remember training can be designed around your company structure and polices.
Prior to signing anyone up, you get to meet our trainers and learn what we are good at, you tell us what your company does, your values and what is important to you. We then work out what qualifications/training is required and present a training plan that is the right fit.
These are numeracy and literacy. Do not panic, Hygiene Sue will be there to help you and fully support you at every stage of these assessments. There will be a combination of online tests and projects.
